OUR PURPOSE

Why we must act now

The urgent need to phase out fossil fuels is undeniable. Yet the path forward is anything but simple.

Global markets for petroleum products - especially diesel - are becoming increasingly unstable. At the same time, the much-anticipated Green Transition is running into major roadblocks. While wind and solar have a role to play, their limitations in large-scale, reliable energy production are becoming more apparent.

Conventional nuclear energy, though powerful, comes with its own set of challenges - including high complexity, inflexible infrastructure, long time-frames for commissioning and massive value chain footprints. These obstacles make it difficult to scale fast enough to fully replace fossil fuels.

The truth is clear: none of the current non-fossil technologies

can fully replace fossil fuels without significant compromise.

The fundamental challenge we face now is our existing industrial system is extraordinarily complex and very fragile. This is especially true for our electricity generation grid, our manufacture value chains and our financial systems.

What’s needed is not just a better version of the old systems - but an entirely new paradigm for how we generate and use energy. We need to look at where we source our resources and what we do with them. Our industrial value chain needs to simplify, contract in size and be more thermodynamically balanced in the management of our resources.

This is where our journey begins....
