THE THREE PILLARS
Promethean Nexus is a bold blueprint for the future - a pioneering city powered by proven, unconventional energy, built on a revolutionary approach to resources, and designed for a society as socially advanced as it is technologically capable. Anchored by Vulcan Catalyst’s industrial backbone and fueled by the creativity and innovations of the Chrysopoeia Institute, it will merge clean energy, regenerative industry, agriculture and a new social contract that partners with nature to create a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem.
Each stage will expand capabilities, prototype breakthrough technologies, and prove that humanity can live in harmony with the planet while driving innovation on a scale the world has never seen.

What is Promethean Nexus?
Promethean Nexus is an innovative project to design and build a small, unconventional city - a stepping stone to a sustainable and advanced future. It asks a simple but powerful question:
“If we were to design a human settlement, let’s call it a city, and we used the best science had to offer, but also optimized the whole city to the well-being of the people who lived there, what could it look like?” Jacque Fresco – The Venus Project
The Foundation: Vulcan Catalyst
The project begins with Vulcan Catalyst, which will:
-
Secure land
-
Build renewable energy systems, fresh water supply, and transport links
-
Fund the Chrysopoeia Institute for research and innovation
Vulcan Catalyst generates revenue through practical industrial projects, creating a stable base for Promethean Nexus to explore more ambitious social and technological ideas.
Building the City
Starting from a workers’ eco village, the city will grow to 10,000 residents. Cutting-edge material science, architecture, and construction methods will shape every part of it. Revenue will initially reward investors, then transition to community control.
Within 5–10 years, ownership will shift to a democratically elected City Council, which will oversee industry, resources, and governance under a new “social contract.”
Research and Social Innovation
The Chrysopoeia Institute will host researchers, scholars, and social scientists to explore new ways of living, from governance models to sustainable agriculture.
-
Conferences worldwide will share ideas and findings
-
Game theory labs will test long-term stability of new social systems
-
Insights will shape a social contract designed to last for centuries
Sustainability at the Core
The city will practice regenerative agriculture, organic food production, and permaculture - with no petrochemical fertilizers or pesticides. Surrounding natural habitats will be preserved.
A City designed for Community

The heart of town
We envision a circular city with radial roads dividing it into sectors.
At its heart lies the Town Circle - a lively hub featuring a central library, community centre, public pool, amphitheatre, a shared Temple for all belief systems, and Town Hall. Shops and cafés spill onto the streets, bringing life to the ground floors of surrounding buildings. An underground monorail will connect directly to the Town Circle, making it easy to arrive without cars or parking.

The Town Circle - city centre
The Inner Ring
Encircling the Town Circle will be the Chrysopoeia Institute, a school, medical facilities, a fire station, and a security station — ensuring that safety are always close at hand.

The Residential Rings
First Residential Ring:
High-density apartment buildings with local services — gyms, childcare, clinics, and small shops — on the ground floor, and living spaces above. Each building is surrounded by parkland, small lakes, and bikeways, creating a healthy and connected environment.
Second Residential Ring:
Charming individual houses encircling tranquil lakes, with green parkland and bike trails weaving throughout.
The Agricultural Belt
Wrapping around the city is an agricultural ring designed with permaculture and regenerative farming, producing fresh food while restoring the land.
Beyond this belt, large sports fields and recreational spaces offer room to play, explore, and gather.

What is Vulcan Catalyst?
Vulcan Catalyst is forging the industrial backbone of Promethean Nexus – a bold, high-tech initiative that generates revenue while laying the foundation for an entirely new city.
Core Goals
-
Secure development land for long-term growth.
-
Install 3–5 thorium-fueled Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) or Molten Salt Reactors (MSRs) for clean, low-cost electricity.
-
Build a desalination plant to provide fresh water.
-
Create a pyrolysis facility to recycle tyres into fuel oil, diesel, carbon black, and graphene.
-
Construct a workers’ village for staff and families.
Innovative Partnerships
We’re working with local mining companies to create a regulatory sandbox — enabling experimental energy systems, unconventional construction, and advanced materials research.
How It Works
-
Energy Production – SMR/MSR reactors supply affordable, sustainable electricity to power the city and industry.
-
Recycling & Fuels – Waste tyres from civilians and mining trucks are converted into diesel and carbon black.
-
Advanced Manufacturing – Reactor energy transforms carbon black into graphene for high-tech applications.
-
Transport Infrastructure – Revenue supports the Spine Rail Arterial Transport system for efficient logistics.
The Dual Engines of Change
To tackle the world’s biggest challenges, we need:
-
The Chrysopoeia Institute – an innovation hub free from conventional constraints.
-
A Constellation of Industrial Pilot Plants – real-world testbeds for breakthrough technologies.
Why Pilot Plants Matter
Technology is proven in three stages:
-
Lab scale – small bench-top experiments.
-
Pilot scale – compact industrial facilities (about the size of a home).
-
Full scale – major industrial sites (mall-sized or larger).
Most targeted innovations can be validated at lab or pilot scale, showing both technical feasibility and economic potential.
The Industrial Constellation of Pilot Plants
Two Main Goals:
-
Prove Breakthrough Technologies – giving investors confidence in bold, unconventional ideas.
-
Serve the City – producing valuable materials, recycling waste, and creating short, efficient value chains.
Example:
End-of-life tyres → recycled into carbon black → converted into graphene → used in 3D printing → new products - all within three interconnected pilot plants.
Up to 30 pilot-scale plants will be built, designed as an integrated system based on whole-systems thinking and industrial permaculture. They will share resources, balance material flows, and operate as one coherent network — the Industrial Constellation, a living model of sustainable industry.

Future Expansion
Once investors are repaid, profits will be reinvested into 20–30 large-scale industrial plants, expanding the city’s capacity and economy. Vulcan Catalyst will also fund the Chrysopoeia Institute, pushing the boundaries of science, governance, and sustainable living.
The Name
Vulcan — Roman god of fire, metalworking, and the forge - symbolizes our mission:
to forge a new industrial era for the 21st century.

What is the
Chrysopoeia Institute?
